Welcome to Arizona Transportation Institute (AzTI)
I am delighted to introduce the Arizona Transportation Institute (AzTI), a groundbreaking collaboration between the University of Arizona (UofA), Arizona State University (ASU), and Northern Arizona University (NAU). Our three state universities have come together through a coordinated Letter of Understanding to form this transportation research consortium. AzTI serves as a collaborative platform to manage and oversee the allocation and utilization of federal research funds provided through the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT).
AzTI is charged with the responsibility of carrying out transportation research processes that support the needs of ADOT and the State of Arizona. Our institute produces useful information and recommendations that address transportation concerns for ADOT, local jurisdictions, and other states. Together, we are committed to supporting the development and operations of an integrated, multimodal transportation system that facilitates the efficient, economic movement of people and goods while promoting community development.
