Kamil Kaloush
Dr. Kamil Kaloush is a Professor in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment at Arizona State University (ASU), where he also serves as the undergraduate civil engineering program chair. Additionally, he is an affiliate faculty member in the School of Sustainability and a founder and past director of the National Center of Excellence on SMART Innovations. With over 35 years of experience in pavement research and management, Dr. Kaloush's expertise includes pavement materials design, thermal properties, advanced laboratory testing, field performance evaluation, and pavement management systems. He is a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) and has received numerous honors, including recognition as a Top 5% teacher in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering and several prestigious awards such as the Rubber Pavements Association Outstanding Research Award. Dr. Kaloush is actively involved in various professional organizations, serving on the Board of Directors for the Transportation Research Board and the International Road Federation (IRF), among other leadership roles. He is also affiliated with the Urban Climate Research Center and serves as a Senior Global Futures Scientist at ASU.
