Kohinoor Kar

Kohinoor Kar, Ph.D., P.E., PTOE is a professional civil engineer specialized in transportation engineering with 30+ years of combined experience in highway design, traffic engineering, and safety research and development. As a Transportation Engineer Manager, he leads the Research Center at the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and also oversees agency-wide federal discretionary grants. Prior to joining ADOT, Dr. Kar worked for universities with research and teaching responsibilities as well as consulting firms involved in engineering studies and design. He serves on a number of technical committees, panels, and editorial boards at the national level. Dr. Kar has published several technical papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented at numerous national and international conferences and webinars. He is an elected member and Discipline Director of the Transportation Professional Certification Board (TPCB).
