Dr. Daoqin Tong is a Professor at Arizona State University (ASU) in the School of Geographical Sciences & Urban Planning. Dr. Tong’s research focuses on spatial analytics, including spatial optimization, GIS, spatial statistics, and big data, to support urban and regional studies related to locational decisions, transportation, food access, and public health. Her recent projects involve modeling spatial data uncertainty, collaborative geo-design for alternative fuel locations, vector-borne disease spread modeling, urban food access and agriculture analysis, and exploring rainwater as a resource for water independence in desert cities.
