Jesse Alston
Dr. Jesse Alston is an Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona (UofA). His research focuses on integrating advanced technologies in transportation systems, including intelligent transportation systems (ITS), data analytics, and optimizing transportation networks. Dr. Alston is known for developing innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of transportation infrastructure. His expertise includes modeling and simulation of traffic flow and evaluating the impact of emerging technologies on urban mobility and transportation policy. Additionally, Dr. Alston is a quantitative ecologist who uses emerging tools to quantify ecological processes and apply that knowledge to conservation practice. His research spans movement ecology, thermal physiology, biogeography, and remote sensing, with primary foci on animal movement, wildlife and livestock, macroecology, and conservation.
