Jun Zhao
Jun is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for Applied Transportation Sciences (CATS) at the University of Arizona. His research focuses on agent-based modeling, mesoscopic traffic simulation, and human mobility. He also contributes to data-driven mobility analysis and human–computer interaction experiments, with a particular emphasis on behavioral analytics using large-scale location-based service (LBS) data.
He earned a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park (2021), an M.Sc. in Management Science and Logistics from Tongji University, Shanghai (2015), and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Nanjing University (2012). His professional background includes postdoctoral research at Zhejiang University on human–computer interaction experiments and agent-based modeling, as well as industry experience as a Senior Algorithm Engineer at Alibaba Cloud, where he developed cloud-based, city-level traffic simulation systems for digital twin cities.
