Kristen Hurtado
Dr. Kristen Hurtado is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment at Arizona State University (ASU). She earned her Ph.D. in construction management from ASU in 2018. Her research interests focus on organizational transformation, project planning and risk management, construction education and training, construction industry analytics, and project and facility management. With over a decade of experience, Dr. Hurtado has worked with both public and private organizations to streamline procurement innovation and construction processes. She has managed more than 200 projects totaling over $1 billion, collaborating with U.S. government agencies, state agencies, universities, and utilities. Additionally, she has taught courses on construction delivery, RFP development, and specialized capital projects software.
