Michael Mamlouk
Dr. Michael Mamlouk is a Professor in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment at Arizona State University (ASU). His primary research interests include pavement analysis and design, pavement maintenance and rehabilitation, and highway materials. Dr. Mamlouk has led and co-led numerous research projects sponsored by organizations such as NCHRP, FHWA, NHI, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Arizona DOT, and various local agencies. He is the main author of the textbook Materials for Civil and Construction Engineers, published by Pearson-Prentice Hall, and has authored numerous publications in his field. A professional engineer in Arizona, Dr. Mamlouk is a fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and an active member of several professional organizations, including the Transportation Research Board (TRB), the Association of Asphalt Pavement Technologists (AAPT), and ASTM. His expertise spans pavement analysis and design, material characterization, and the maintenance and rehabilitation of highway pavements.
